KPC 3701 CR Vinyl FF Coating

Omschrijving:

KPC 3701 Vinyl FF Coating is a physical drying high-build coating with a base of vinyl for thermally galvanized steel and steel. Excellent anti-corrosive properties.

Recommended use:
As a first, intermediate or finishing coat on steel constructions, fencing etc.

Main characteristics:
Very good adhesion on steel and thermally galvanized steel and as a intermediate coating. Easy to apply with brush and spray. Fast drying. Can be used in an environment with low temperatures. The surface should be dry, clean and free of ice. The temperature of the treated surface should be 3°C above the dew point.

Surface preparation:
New steel: abrasive blasting to Sa 2.5, with a surface-roughness of approximately 50µm. Zinc should be cleaned of zinc salts and rinsed with freshwater. In case of maintenance old paint that doesn’t hold anymore should be removed by means of scraping, mechanical cleaning or blasting. Rust should be blasted like new steel. The substrate should be cleaned of grease and oil. This can be done by means of high-pressure spraying pistol and freshwater with optional cleansing agent. If inevitable use solvents to clean the substrate. When rotating tools are used, make sure that the tools are completely free of grease and oil.

Recoating:
The substrate should be clean and dry. In case of recoating a freshly applied film of paint, it is sufficient to remove dust and sand before recoating.

In case of repair or maintenance the substrate should be made free of grease. This can be done by means of high-pressure spraying pistol and tapwater with optional cleansing agent. Also steamcleaning can be used. After cleaning rinse and dry the substrate properly. All damaged and loose paint should be removed by means of blasting. If it is not possible to blast, the substrate can be cleaned with a powertool instead.
