Recommended use:
As anticorrosive layer on Sa 2.5 blasted steel in an industrial or maritime environment.


Major characteristics :
Excellent anticorrosive properties. Quick drying abilities. Recoatable with non saponifiable coatings like epoxy, polyurethane, chlorinated rubber and vinyl.

Surface preparation:
The substrate should be blast cleaned steel to the Swedish Standard Sa 2½ and surface roughness of 50 micron gives the best result. The surface should be dry, clean and free from dust.

In case of weather-beaten galvanized steel:
Clean the substrate of grease and dirt. Remove zinc-salts with a brush and clean water. Remove rust by powertool till St. 3.

In case of repair:
All transport and mechanical damages, welded and burned spots should be cleaned of rust by powertool or coarse sandpaper till St.3.

In case of repair:
The substrate should be clean and dry. In case of recoating a just applied film of paint, it is sufficient to remove dust and sand before recoating. In case of recoating old or damaged layers of paint, treat the substrate as mentioned in the section surface preparation.
