KPC 83010 CR Finish HB is a high build physically drying paint based on a modified chlorinated binder. Has good gloss and color retention, good resistance to abrasion, impact sea-water, sunlight, mineral oil, diluted acids and alkali’s. Not resistant to strong solvents.
Recommended use:
As a general purpose exterior finishing coat on not permanently immersed surfaces in marine and industrial environment. For ships’deck and boottop see KPC 83020 CR Finish BT. Also usable on interior steel surfaces where chemical and moisture resistance is required, e.g. cargo holds etc.
Surface preparation:
The substrate should be completely dry and free from oil, grease or other contaminations. When used on top of a freshly applied prime- coat, removal of sand and dust is adequate. If rust is present it should be preferably removed by blast cleaning, followed by spot priming with an anticorrosive primer. Preceding coating: KPC 83521 CR Sealer or KPC 83210 CR Primer HB.
