KPC 83521 CR Sealer Aluminium is an aluminium-pigmented modified chlorinated rubber paint designed for high-build application. Physically drying. Not recommendable for the area in contact with animal and vegetable oils or solvents. It forms a though and practically water-proof coating which offers a perfect bond with the subsequent coat.
Recommended use:
As a intermediate coat in CR-paint systems on ships’ hulls and other steel structures in medium to severely corrosive environment. Not suitable with impressed current cathodic protection. Also usable as an intermediate or finishing coat in dry cargo holds.
Surface preparation:
The substrate should be completely dry and free from oil, grease or other contaminations. When used on top of a freshly applied prime- coat, removal of sand and dust is adequate. If rust is present it should be preferably removed by blast cleaning, followed by spot priming with an anticorrosive primer. Subsequent coat: KPC 83010 CR Finish or KPC 83020 CR Finish BT.
