Recommended use:
For the protection and maintenance of permanently submerged steel and of steel surfaces not exposed to sunlight. Especially suitable for ship’s bottom, offshore structures, etc. As an intermediate coat on ship’s hulls and other steel structures in medium to severe corrosive environments.

Main characteristics:
Very good isolating properties on diverse substrates. Excellent weather resistance. Quick drying. Can be used in an environment with low temperatures. The surface should be dry, clean and free of ice. The temperature of the treated surface should be 3°C above the dew point.


Surface preparation:
New steel: abrasive blasting to Sa 2.5, with a surface-roughness of approximately 50µm. Zinc should be cleaned of zinc salts and rinsed with freshwater. In case of maintenance old paint that doesn’t hold anymore should be removed by means of scraping, mechanical cleaning or blasting. Rust should be blasted like new steel. The substrate should be cleaned of grease and oil. This can be done by means of high-pressure spraying pistol and freshwater with optional cleansing agent. If inevitable use solvents to clean the substrate. When rotating tools are used, make sure that the tools are completely free of grease and oil.
